This section addresses the delivery of the face-to-face training, which is critical for the workshop, both in terms of content and using group dynamics and interaction to develop each participant’s final M&E Framework project.
Learning methodology and the M&E Frameworks Project
As you kick off the face-to-face training, you can remind the participants about two things:
1. This is a participative and interactive workshop, so it is important for everyone to come into the training with that mindset. For this approach to work, we should be prepared to ask questions, offer ideas, and collaborate. It will be a highly active period!
2. The M&E Framework project is the core of the workshop, and it will be helpful to participants, as they consider new concepts, to think about and apply them to this context. Keep the Framework project in mind when learning new concepts!
Introductions and Summing up Block One
Before you start the first face-to-face presentation, take 10-15 minutes to discuss what was covered and commented on during Block One. This includes the Pre-Workshop Questionnaire, the M&E Case Study, and gathering data for the M&E Framework project. You do not need to go into a lot of detail, but a brief review of what you have already covered, and asking the group for their general reactions and reflections will help to create a smooth transition to Block Two.
This Toolkit includes five slide presentations including extensive notes, that have been developed for the five main presentations of the face-to-face training. Both the slides and the script are meant to provide a general outline, and we encourage you to edit and change them to reflect your approach and, especially, to include more examples and cases.
