Part IV: Block Three – Completion of the M&E
Framework Project and Final Assessment
Completing your M&E Framework Project
Now that the face-to-face training has ended, you will have some time to make final edits to your final M&E Framework Project. You will have advanced the framework significantly during the training, so you should be able to complete it and send it by the deadline established by your facilitator(s). As you finish your framework, keep in mind that you will soon be implementing it yourself. You should be sure that it is a plan you feel comfortable and confident implementing.
Checklist: Are you ready to submit your final M&E Framework Project?
Before you submit your final framework, we strongly suggest that you take the opportunity to evaluate it against the rubric that we provided at the start of the course. The rubric clearly lays out the criteria by which your facilitator(s) will evaluate your work, and serves as a road map to a high-quality M&E framework:
• Accuracy – Have you correctly identified and included the elements necessary to structure a complete M&E framework? Have you addressed data collection and data quality?
• Structure and consistency – Are the elements in your framework aligned so that you will be able to implement this plan smoothly?
• Completeness – Have you included the full results chain in your framework and is data quality assessed?
• Correctness and clarity – Have you carefully reviewed grammar, spelling, and style to ensure that the document is easy to read and understand?
Evaluating the workshop
At one or more points during this workshop, your facilitator(s) will no doubt ask you to evaluate your experience and their work. We encourage you to think carefully about your experience in the workshop and to report it to the facilitator(s). After all, they are in the position that you will soon be in – collecting data to help them strengthen their trainings.
The real test of the workshop will come when you implement your M&E framework in practice. Use the feedback you receive from your facilitator(s) to further refine and develop your plan, and to feed the results you get back into your planning process. Reach out to the facilitator(s) if you have questions or need clarification. Thank you for joining us and good luck!
